A 17-year-old boy has been sent to jail after raping and robbing a pregnant woman in West London.
The attack happened on Hatton Road, Feltham, in January this year.
The victim was praised by officers for her bravery during the incident which was ‘traumatising’.
The victim had gone to the shops at around 11.30pm on January 7 when she stopped to ask her would-be attacker for directions.
Shortly after she realised the teenager was following her.
He grabbed her from behind an physically attacked her, taking her phone and cash.
He then threatened her with a screwdriver before raping her.
She managed to alert the police after telling her attacker she had £500 cash at her house and would give it to him.
Despite being told that he would ‘shoot her’ if she tried to call the police, she bravely did when she got back to her house.
The attacker, who was waiting outside, fled the scene before officers arrived.
He was found nearby and caught after a short foot chase, still holding the screwdriver as well as the victim’s phone and cash.
The attacker, who cannot be named due to legal reasons, was jailed at Isleworth Crown Court on Monday, September 7 for eight and a half years
