A man has been jailed after he sexually assaulted two women on the same bus and then slapped one of them when she confronted him.
Abdul Yusuf, 31, was caught on CCTV at a North London bus stop approaching his first victim and grabbing her wrist when she told him to go away.
After telling her ‘you’re not going anywhere’, he kept hold of her wrist and smiled before sexually assaulting her and saying: ‘You know you want it.’
She then broke away and got onto the bus through its rear doors but Yusuf also boarded through the middle doors. He then sexually assaulted his second victim as she walked onto the Route 76 bus.
Yusuf sat opposite the first woman before the second woman approached him and confronted him about his assault on her. He then slapped her in the face.
When he realised the second victim had started filming him, Yusuf gathered his shopping and went to wait by the exit doors.
But when he saw the first victim’s phone was angled towards him, he wrongly thought she was filming him too and angrily tried to grab the phone.
She stood up to defend herself but Yusuf pushed her onto the floor, held her down so hard she struggled to breathe and repeatedly punched her in the face.
She managed to get out from under Yusuf and tried to run away but Yusuf then bit her shoulder blade until she screamed out in pain.
Yusuf punched the woman one more time before getting off the bus.
The sex offender was eventually found and arrested in Cornwall last July, nearly a month after the attacks.
His DNA showed that he had also assaulted a third woman in separate incident. He also stole her phone and bank card and tried to buy items from a shop.
During his trial, which started in January, Yusuf pleaded guilty to charges of fraud but denied sexual assault, assault and robbery.
But on Thursday Wood Green Crown Court found Yusuf guilty of sexually assaulting three women, two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, one count of common assault, one count of robbery and two counts of fraud.
He has now been jailed for four years and four months.
The TFL’s Siwan Hayward, said: ‘We commend these women for coming forward and speaking to the police after what must have been a terrible and frightening experience.
‘Thankfully crimes of this nature are extremely rare on public transport.
‘All our customers have the right to travel on our network without fear of abuse, assault or intimidation.’
PC Bowman said: ‘This sentencing shows the seriousness of Yusuf’s actions and has put a very dangerous man behind bars.
‘To assault three women in this way will not be tolerated, and from the footage, we can see how violent his actions were.
