We can confirm that a man from Netherton has been charged with rape said Merseyside police.
Hussain Saidi, 24, of Louis Pasteur Avenue, Netherton, Bootle, L30 5, appeared yesterday (Thursday 8 June) at Liverpool Magistrate’s Court and has been remanded in custody.
The rape was reported to have occurred on Sunday 5 March this year on Linacre Lane.
Saidi will next appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday 6 July.
