A rapist who groomed and exploited two vulnerable teenage girls has been jailed for 21 years.
Nadeem Hussain, 46, plied his victims, who were 16 and 17 at the time, with heroin and crack cocaine to enable his sexual offending, police said.
Hussain, formerly of Regent Street in Wakefield, denied four counts of rape and one count of assault by penetration but was found guilty by a jury at Grimsby Crown Court.
At his sentencing on Thursday, he was also made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order for life which will put restrictions on him on his release from prison.
Det Sgt Kirsty Senior, of Wakefield District’s Child Vulnerable to Exploitation Team, said Hussain’s offending took place “over a lengthy period of time”.
“Hussain refused to accept his guilt resulting in a four-week trial and I am pleased that his victims have now got justice,” she said.
“That being said, no jail term can ever erase the lasting emotional, physical and psychological damage that Hussain has caused these two young girls.”
She commended the victims’ “immense courage” throughout the proceedings and urged anyone who had been the victim of child sexual exploitation to report it to police.
